Flooded but not forgotten!
In case you haven’t heard, our Shop and home were both flooded on July 30th, during a freak torrential thunderstorm that hit the Yorkshire Dales, which caused major structural damage in areas of Wensleydale and Swaledale, including bridges washed away!
We have been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of folk! Both our lovely community, in providing meals and assistance in the clear-up, and our loyal customers who ordered extra online to support our business during this difficult time. We cannot thank you enough.
Our Shop in Leyburn is closed for repairs for the next few weeks. Our house, though, will take a lot longer and we are looking for temporary accommodation. However, we are continuing our online sales and will be attending future Shows (thankfully most of our stock was saved).
We are grateful to be allowed a small temporary display of our goods in the Fleece shop in Reeth. You can also still call us on our usual phone number.
We are sorry if you have, or were going to, visit our Shop and found us closed. We will be open as soon as possible. Check our website and social media for timely updates.
Join us at Wensleydale Show this Saturday
Our first event since the flooding will be our usual attendance at our local agricultural show near Leyburn. We are Sponsors of some of the competition classes and will have a stall in one of the marquees, with our goods for sale. Join us on Saturday 24th August at Wensleydale Show!
We are at Southern Wool Show
We still intend being at the Southern Wool Show in Newbury, Berkshire on August 31st and September 1st. We will have all our usual woolly goodies, including finest lustre Wensleydale Longwool yarn, dyed locks, combed tops, knitting kits, natural beauty products, garments and so much more!
We are sorry were were not able to attend WoolNEss and the British Wool Show. They were just too soon after the disaster!
