I’ve just returned from my first ever visit to the Masham Sheep Fair, and from your stall, in the Town Hall. I purchased a beautiful blue cardigan which, I’m told by the lovely lady who served me, was knitted by an elderly lady called Beryl.

Ordinarily I would write properly (I don’t knit… but I can use a fountain pen !!) but I suppose this email will have to suffice…. Please tell Beryl that she has made one Lancashire Lass extremely happy and proud to be the owner and wearer of such a beautifully crafted cardigan. I will be on the look out for future shows selling your woollens and have strongly hinted to my husband that a trip to Leyburn would be the perfect birthday present next month…!!
