Our DK FairIsle jumper knitting pattern designed by Monica Russel.
This is a truly versatile garment where one size fits all. It is a good introduction to Fair Isle knitting as only part of the garment requires colour changes. The jumper is knitted flat and seamed after completion. It can be worn on its own or with a t-shirt, blouse or jumper underneath it. The fair isle can be knitted either by using the chart or by reading the written instructions. If you would like a longer version simply add extra length before the armhole shaping.
A specially created Sheep Shop Hand-Knitting Pattern for use with our pure Wensleydale Longwool Double Knitting (DK) wool.
The name for the pattern came from a customer who said she would wear it ‘even when it was cracking the flags’, an northern English expression for it being hot weather!… Due to it being lightweight and sleeveless.
