Today (19th November 2016) we launch our new logo, courtesy of Paul Hicks from Rebrand Design! Wensleydale Longwool Sheep Shop has been a successful business for over 25 years. To celebrate our new ownership and transition we are launching a brand-new logo. Both the old and the new logo will be seen for sometime as we move over to our new brand. Both are your assurance of genuine premium quality Wensleydale Longwool.

New Yarn Colours

We also have a new Yarn shade for this season, called Thornton Rust (after one of our local Wensleydale villages). As the name suggests it is a rich rust colour, which is now available in our shop and in our online store in both DK and Aran. We also have back in stock our very popular Moonlight DK!

  1. I much prefer the old logo. It gives the character of the location and the sheep.

Why can’t you use both, rather than discard the original?

    1. Thanks for posting on our Blog page. We welcome our customers views and suggestions.

We have had positive feedback to our new logo on our Social Media channels (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). However, we realise we cannot please everyone.

There was a practical reason we changed our logo, in that it was not of a high enough quality to blow up for shop signage etc. It was also felt we needed a refresh to appeal to a wider range of customers, as well as our existing ones, now that our shop is in Leyburn and online. It is still a Wensleydale sheep with its longwool fringe, but also emphasising the ball of yarn with its banding.

As we said in our Blog and email Newsletter, the old logo will be around for some time to come, so the two logos will live alongside each other for the foreseeable future.

  2. Love the new logo !
