Order now to avoid Christmas postal delays
The festive period is a very busy time for postal deliveries, further exacerbated this year by industrial action. We have had a number of queries from customers wondering where their order is. Unfortunately, we can’t query these with Royal Mail until 10 working days have passed. We try to pack and despatch the next business day, or sometimes even the same day, if orders come in early.
Because of Royal Mail’s ongoing postal worker strikes during December (9, 11, 14 and 15), they are bringing forward recommended Christmas last posting dates. For 2nd Class mail this is now Monday 12th December.
So we need your orders ready for despatch by the afternoon of this date at the latest. Buy as early as you can please. We will, of course, endeavour to despatch any later orders as quickly as we can.
This only impacts online and over the phone mail orders.
If you miss this date you can (if in the area) order online and collect from the Shop (select that option at checkout). This will ensure you get what you want reserved.
Alternatively, you can order Gift Vouchers online which we can email to you or the recipient, which avoids any possible delay altogether! We have been known to issue the odd emergency Gift Voucher on Christmas Day!
Christmas and New Year Opening Hours
As usual we have revised business hours during the Festive period, which are listed in the image above and also online here. These take effect from Christmas Eve until after New Year.
Our first Wool Show of the New Year
Our first show of 2023 will be Unravel festival in Farnham, Surrey. It’s the 15th Anniversary show and takes place over three days.
Advance purchase tickets are available online now, with timed entry to manage visitor traffic. Book now to ensure you get your preferred slot if you are going to attend.
