New: Summer Wool Festival
A new Wool Show is taking place next weekend – the Summer Wool Festival! It’s taking place in Ampthill, near Bedford. The event has been organised by the people behind Spring into Wool and the Southern Wool Show.
For those of you who used to visit the Fibre East event (which has now stopped running), the Summer Wool Festival picks up from where Fibre East left off (same venue etc.).
Tickets are available at the door, but are cheaper if bought online in advance. There are also Workshops that can be booked.
We hope to see you there and, don’t forget, if you want us to bring anything to the Show let us know by Wednesday (27 July) at 4pm to ensure you’re not disappointed.
New Knitting Kit
NEW for this season we are introducing our new design the Boggle Hole jumper, by award winning knitwear designer Helen Connington.
It will initially be available only as a knitting kit which we’ll have with us at the Summer Wool Festival! The kit includes the Pattern and the Wensleydale DK wool, you chose the colour. In the picture, Tash is wearing Aubergine and Becky is wearing Litchen.
Keep an eye on our website, as the kit will go live over the show weekend. We’ll put a link to it in this online Newsletter when it goes live….

Knitting Patterns
We are also reviewing some of our old patterns and tweaking where necessary. The first one is the Juliette jumper, which Dawn has made some alterations to to bring it up to date. The revised pattern is now available online. In the picture Becky is wearing a Moonlight version.
Sheepskins and Throws restocked
At last we have managed to get a new stock of Sheepskins and Wool Throws. Kath selects these personally to ensure the quality.
Have a look online or come into our Shop, there are some beauties and a particularly luxurious double Sheepskin in black and white.
People are starting to think about Autumn projects and Christmas knitting – sorry, mentioned the ‘C’ word.
